Forsyth Big Creek Greenway Phase 1 Now Open
Phase 1 of the Forsyth Big Creek Greenway is open. This 4 mile segment of the trail stretching from McFarland Parkway to Highway 9 brings the total length of the trail to 6.7 miles in Forsyth County.

This weekend I changed my normal walking of the Greenway, dusted off my bike and decided to continue on past Highway 9 heading towards McFarland Parkway and see how far I could get on Phase 1 of the trail.
Event to Provide Tips for Enjoying the Forsyth Big Creek Greenway
An event is scheduled this November for the public to learn about safety on the Big Creek Greenway Forsyth. It is scheduled for Thursday, November 12th at 7pm at Sharon Springs Park.
Fall on the Big Creek Greenway
Fall is my favorite season in Georgia. The weather is a great relief from the hot, humid Georgia summers. Throw in the brilliant colors as the leaves change and begin to fall, and there is no reason not to be outside.
