Big Creek Greenway Clean Up October 24th

A volunteer cleanup is scheduled for this coming Saturday October 24th on the Forsyth Big Creek Greenway. Due to the above average rainfall for the past couple months, excessive amounts of sand and debris have covered the greenway. Your help is needed to clear this debris and keep the overall costs for the county down for maintenance of the trail.

Details of the cleanup (Taken from the Forsyth Herald):

  • When:
    Saturday October 24th, 2009, 8am – 12pm
  • Parking and Check In:
    Fire Station #2, 4055 Carolene Way, Cumming, GA 30040
  • What to Bring:
    Gloves, rake, shovel, weed eater, edger
  • Who:
    Businesses, scout troops, organizations, churches and individuals throughout the community. Pass this on to others you know who might be interested in helping prepare the Big Creek Greenway for everyday use.
